Features & Capabilities

TextArray brings 300+ free text tools to your browser — and every one of them runs locally.

Select any text, right-click, and choose a tool: count words, change case, encode/decode Base64 or URLs, clean and format text, sort or de-duplicate lines, slugify, format JSON, apply ciphers, and much more. Or type "ta" in the address bar to jump straight to a tool.

Why TextArray is different: • 100% local — the extension never sends your text anywhere. It opens the tool on textarray.com with your selection in the URL fragment, which the browser never transmits to a server. The tool then runs entirely in the page. • No ads, no accounts, no tracking, no cookie banner. • 300+ tools across case, encoding, cleaning, formatting, lists, numbers, ciphers and generators. • 18 languages and a ⌘K command palette on the site.

The only permission it uses is the right-click (context menu) entry. It requests no host permissions and collects no data.

Is TextArray Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

TextArray does not require any sensitive permissions.
