Text Highlight

Word Highlighter automatically highlights the words and phrases you care about, everywhere you browse.

FEATURES

• Create multiple groups, each with its own text color and highlight color
• Choose whole-word/phrase matching or substring matching, per group
• Set group priority by dragging (or with ▲▼ buttons) — controls which group wins when the same text could match more than one
• Highlighting is case-insensitive and updates live as new content loads, so it works on infinite-scroll feeds and single-page apps
• Export your groups to a JSON file for backup, or import a file to restore or share a word list
• A master on/off switch in the toolbar popup, plus quick per-group toggles

PRIVACY This extension does not collect or transmit any personal data. All your word lists and settings stay on your device, in local browser storage.

LIMITATIONS Pages that render their content on a <canvas> instead of regular HTML text — such as Google Sheets, and parts of Google Docs — can't be highlighted, since there's no real text in the page for the extension to find.
