This extension is based on WhatsApp Pinned by semanticdata. Minor changes and clean-up were made to shift the functionality from WhatsApp Web to Telegram Web.

Introduction This Firefox Extension opens or toggles Telegram Web within a pinned tab. It also provides a customizable keyboard shortcut, and toggle button.

How to Use Toggle the pinned tab by pressing Alt+Shift+W. This shortcut can be changed by going to Add-ons -> Telegram Pinned -> Options. If you prefer buttons over shortcuts, there is a toolbar button you can press to toggle the pined tab.
