SenseVault

SenseVault keeps your private notes, passwords and codes encrypted on your own phone — and nowhere else.

There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no cloud. The app does not ask for permission to use the internet, so it has no way to send your information anywhere. You can check this yourself in Android's app settings.

WHAT IT'S FOR

HOW IT PROTECTS YOUR DATA
• Everything is encrypted on your device using AES-256, with the key derived from your master password using Argon2id — a deliberately slow, memory-hard function that makes guessing your password enormously expensive for an attacker.
• Your master password is never stored, anywhere. It exists only in your memory.
• Fingerprint unlock is on by default. It is asked for in addition to your master password, never instead of it.
• Optionally, the key itself can be held in your phone's security chip, so the fingerprint check cannot be skipped even by a modified copy of the app. This one is off until you turn it on.
• The app locks itself the moment you switch away. Two exceptions: its own fingerprint prompt and file picker, which it opened itself.
• It blocks screenshots and hides its contents in the recent-apps list.
• Copied secrets are cleared from the clipboard after 30 seconds — or, if you switched to another app to paste, when you next return to SenseVault, because Android does not let a background app touch the clipboard.

WHAT IT DOESN'T DO
• No accounts. No tracking. No analytics. No ads.
• Nothing is uploaded, ever. There is no server to upload to.
• We cannot see your data — and we cannot recover it for you.

A NOTE OF CAUTION
Because your data is encrypted with your master password and stored only on your device, forgetting that password means the data is gone for good — no one can recover it, including us. Keep your password safe, and use the built-in encrypted backup so a lost or broken phone doesn't mean lost data.

SenseVault is a private storage app. It is not a wallet, an exchange, or a financial service, and it never takes possession of anything you store.
