Diary - Private Journal & Mood

A simple, private diary for a few minutes a day. Write what happened, pick how you felt, add photos, and look back whenever you like.

WRITE
• A title, your words and how you felt: awful, bad, okay, good or great
• Up to 10 photos per entry; tap a photo to see it full screen and zoom in
• Pick any past date and time, so you can catch up on days you missed
• Everything is saved as you go; word count as you type
• Small, medium or large text

LOOK BACK
• Journal: all your entries by month, with On this day from past years
• Calendar: each day takes the color of its mood; tap a day to read or write
• Insights: your current and longest streak, entries, days written and words each month, and your moods day by day
• Search titles and text, and filter by mood

PRIVATE
• Passcode lock with 4 to 6 digits, and fingerprint or face unlock
• Choose when to ask for the passcode: right after leaving, or after 1 or 5 minutes
• A recovery code in case you forget your passcode
• Block screenshots and hide the diary in recent apps
• Your diary stays on your phone: no account, no internet access, no ads

REMINDER
• An optional daily reminder at the time you choose
• Skips the reminder on days you have already written

BACKUP
• Automatic backup of all entries and photos to the Download/Diary folder; after reinstalling, pick the file to restore
• Export one month or everything as a PDF with photos, ready to print
• Export everything, photos included, to a ZIP file you keep; import it on a new phone
• Optionally protect an exported backup with a password (AES-256); if you forget it, nobody can open the file, including us
• Importing merges by entry and keeps the most recently edited version, so nothing is lost
• Export all entries as a plain text file
• Light and dark themes, 17 languages: English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 日本語, 한국어, Español, Português, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, Русский, Türkçe, Bahasa Indonesia, Tiếng Việt, ไทย, العربية and हिन्दी

The passcode keeps others from opening the app on your phone; it does not encrypt your entries. Only backups you export with a password are encrypted; the automatic backup in Download/Diary is not. Your diary and photos are backed up automatically to the Download/Diary folder, so they survive an uninstall; copy that folder to keep a copy elsewhere or move to a new phone.
