BACKGROUND MONITORING
When monitoring is enabled, Hyphoon can continue receiving broadcasts from your bound tire sensors while the app is not open. A persistent Android notification shows when background monitoring is active.
On Android 10 and 11, Android requires location permission for Bluetooth Low Energy scanning in the background. Hyphoon uses this permission only to receive nearby tire sensor broadcasts. It does not continuously track, collect, or save your location. A parking location is accessed only when you explicitly choose Save now.
PRIVACY BY DESIGN
Hyphoon does not require an account. Vehicle settings, sensor readings, alert preferences, and history are stored locally on your device and are not automatically uploaded to Hyphoon. Diagnostic information remains on your device unless you choose to export or share it.
IMPORTANT
Hyphoon requires compatible BLE TPMS sensors, which are sold separately. Sensor compatibility and update frequency depend on the sensor hardware.
Hyphoon is a supplemental vehicle-maintenance tool. It is not an emergency service, a certified tire pressure gauge, or a replacement for regular tire inspection and maintenance. Always follow the cold tire pressure specified by your vehicle manufacturer, vehicle placard, or owner’s manual.
