Task Catcher Firefox

Task Catcher

Paste notes or AI chat transcripts and turn them into a tracked task list, using a free LLM you configure.

Features & Capabilities

Task Catcher adds a small floating button to the bottom-right of every page. Open it, paste any text (for example a conversation with an AI assistant), and it extracts concrete, actionable tasks using a free large language model that you configure with your own API key. Features: Extract tasks from pasted text with one click Mark tasks done/reopen, cancel/restore, or delete Add follow-up sub-tasks "Add context": paste more notes about a single task and let the AI refine it and spin off follow-ups Add tasks manually without the AI Everything is stored locally in your browser . Bring your own free API key from Groq (console.groq.com/keys) or Google Gemini (aistudio.google.com/apikey). The extension has no server of its own — your pasted text is sent directly from your browser to the provider you choose.

Is Task Catcher Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Task Catcher requires some sensitive permissions that could impact your browser and data security. Exercise caution before installing.

Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.

Task Catcher is recently added, and hasn't been around long enough for us to gather enough data to accurately assess its risk level.
