TabNotes keeps all data local using the browser storage API, avoids remote code or third-party services, and uses only the permissions required to identify and act on the active tab. The extension stores notes by page, provides a quick popup UI for editing, and an options page to view or remove saved notes. Notes are never sent to external servers and the extension uses safe DOM APIs (textContent) to show notes on pages.
