Tab Group Switch

Tab Group Switch is a Chrome extension designed to help you save and switch between tab groups easily. It offers a practical middle ground between bookmarks and the classic Panorama tab groups by saving open tabs into named groups that can be switched or edited as needed. The extension supports adding new tabs to groups, updating groups with current tabs, and exporting/importing group data locally.

Users can enable an autosave feature to automatically save all open tabs at set intervals, effectively functioning as a simple session manager. It allows various actions such as switching between groups, opening tabs from groups, editing group details including focused and pinned tabs, and managing group names. Although it reloads tabs entirely upon switch (resulting in loss of some form data), it provides a resource-friendly way to handle multiple tab groups within a single window context. The extension manages permissions carefully to support autosaving, storage, notifications, and tab handling.
