the whole point of me installing the app was so that I could temporarily type on my PC using my phone as my physical keyboard is failing and I'm saving up money to buy a new physical keyboard, but that exact feature was paywalled with a price that is even more expensive than buying a new physical keyboard here so there's no use for me to keep this app

Link to download the server is dead, so you cannot make it work. The link to RemotePointer-Server jar redirects to the main website. You can download the client (this app), but not the server. Without the server this app is pretty much useless. Go to your link, click "Download PC-Application", what happens? Redirects to georg-sieber.de
