Superchat Live Log

Displays a live log of YouTube Superchats; so you can read them at your own pace or filter them as you please.

If you have ever wanted more control over how your YouTube Super Chats are displayed or automatically destroyed, here's a solution.

• 🎉 Introducing the new minidisplay which provides a broad view of your live log superchats.
• Superchats that appear in the live chat roll are copied to above the chat where you can browse them more easily and, if wanted, at your own pace.
• Blue and donation superchats are included in the logs; so they won't be able to fly past the screen too fast to read.
• Filter which superchats are moved into the live log.
• Temporarily hide the live log when wanted.
• Browse buttons are in a static reliable location; so there's no need to struggle with the UI while reading superchats.
• Autosaves your settings (if wanted).
• Autoloads on YouTube video chat replays and YouTube Studio live stream chat (including popout chat).
• Displays a live tally of your superchats, which one you're reading, and which ones you haven't read yet.
• Seamlessly blends visually in both Dark and Light YouTube themes.
• Extension will always be free to use, be intended for use during live streams, and require as little permissions as possible.

• Member superchats currently expire from the live log in 5 minutes rather than however long the member paid for. A solution is being investigated.
• YouTube does not load new chats/superchats while the live chat is scrolled upward, which prevents the extension from working until scrolled back to the bottom. Partial mitigations are being investigated.
  • YouTube does load a backlog of the most recent chats upon scrolling back to the bottom, but they are only the most-recently-missed chats. You can probably get away with several seconds of backlog without missing any chats, but don't quote me on that. Any superchats YouTube misses in the live chat roll will also be missed by this extension.
  • If the live log misses a superchat, you can still click the superchat button in the original UI to pull up its message. Missed blue superchats will not be recoverable the same way.
• Rewinding a video or clicking around the track of a video will potentially duplicate some superchats in the live log. A solution is being investigated.
