Some people collect stamps; here the collection is painted postcards, and every one of them has to be earned. Each postcard arrives cut into puzzle pieces: put them back together and the card joins the album — a mountain ridge at dawn, a lighthouse over a striped sea, a cabin under the stars, a meadow full of balloons. 24 postcards wait along the tour, from small nine-piece cards to a full 36-piece view, and only a careful eye finishes them all.
The puzzle is only half of the trial. A completed card opens a short diary letter about the place, and right after it comes a quiz: true or false questions and one word to type from memory. Anyone can look at a picture; a champion reads, remembers and answers. Three correct answers and a puzzle solved without hints are the marks of a truly attentive collector.
Hints are there when a piece refuses to fit, and every card keeps its own record: pieces placed, hints used, quiz score and up to three stars — 72 stars across the whole tour.
