Subshack is the Substack analytics and growth extension that closes that gap: stats for your own Notes and articles, the people behind the numbers, a profile audit that scores any public Substack profile out of 100, and campaigns and welcome messages that you set up and stay in control of. It uses the Substack session you are already signed in with. No sign-up, no password.

PEOPLE, NOT PERCENTAGES • Opens, clicks and new subscribers are shown as counts of people, next to the rate — so a growing list never reads as a decline. • Every figure comes from your own account and can be checked against Substack's own screens. No invented score.

SUBSTACK NOTES ANALYTICS • Every Note in one sortable table — impressions, new subscribers, engagement. • Your best-performing formats and posting hours, measured against your own baseline — the Substack insights the platform does not give you.

SUBSTACK POST STATS • Your published articles side by side: views, opens, clicks and the subscribers each post brought in.

AUDIENCE • Followers and subscribers kept apart: following your profile and subscribing to your publication are two different things. • The readers who engage with your Notes, with the public Substack profile behind each name, and segments you define.

OPPORTUNITIES • Readers worth answering and conversations worth continuing, ranked from the interactions Substack recorded — each one with the evidence behind it. Nothing is sent from this screen.

CAMPAIGNS, INBOX AND AUTOMATIONS • Campaigns — write one message, add your link, and choose where it goes: the Substack group chats you already belong to, or the readers you pick for a private message. • Inbox — the replies to your campaigns in one place, with a suggested answer you review, follow-ups, and a do-not-contact list. • Automations — a welcome message for new subscribers and another for new followers, written by you. • Nothing is sent until you set it up. A campaign starts only when you press Start sending, then sends one message at a time, minutes apart. Welcome messages wait as drafts unless you choose to send them automatically, after a delay and outside quiet hours. Every sending feature has a daily limit and can be paused. • Subshack never publishes a Note, an article or a restack, and never follows, likes or subscribes for you.

CAMPAIGN MODE • On Substack, Facebook Groups, Reddit and X, copy your campaign message and link, tracked for the place you share it. It reads the page address only — it never posts or messages there.

SUBSTACK PROFILE AUDIT • Score any public Substack profile out of 100 against a checklist — bio, publication, links, recent activity — and get concrete fixes. Audit yourself, or a creator you want to learn from. Same engine as the free web tool at subshack.pro/tools.

FREE TO USE • One publication, your latest 50 Notes and 10 articles, 2 active campaigns, 7 private messages and 2 group posts a day.

WHERE YOUR DATA LIVES • Data is stored locally and backed up privately to subshack.pro by default for new users. Settings → Privacy lets you disable backup; existing disabled choices are kept. Your Substack session never leaves your browser and is never stored. • While backup is enabled, what leaves your device is disclosed in setup and Privacy: your Notes and articles with their stats, the labels computed for them, the people Substack exposes on your Notes, and your subscriber list with e-mail addresses. • Inbox and Automations use AI on your conversations. To suggest a reply, the message and its thread are sent to our backend and AI provider. To follow a campaign, the new messages of the conversations it started are read the same way and not stored. A welcome message written in AI mode is drafted by the same provider. • Anonymous, no-PII usage analytics help us improve the extension.
