Dash Chat (pre-alpha)

Dash Chat is in pre-alpha - please don't rely on it for everyday messaging yet.

We're building a messaging app designed to keep working when the internet doesn't, and to keep your conversations private. We're not there yet - this is early, experimental software under active development. The app does not currently implement any encryption mechanism for messages.

What it does today:

- One-to-one direct messages.
- Pair the mobile app with the desktop Dash Chat app, which runs a local server on your WiFi network.
- Create group chats, add members to those groups and send group messages.

What we're building toward:

- Group chat member management.
- Media support.
- Peer-to-peer synchronization that doesn't require internet access.
- Private, end-to-end encrypted conversations.

Expect bugs and breaking changes - and we'd love your feedback.
