Features & Capabilities

The side panel needs two logins, both free. There is no API key and no license code to paste.

  1. A Strategy Optimizer account (this extension's own web app): <account email> / <account password>. Sign-in happens on https://stratopti.com/login, not in the panel, because OAuth cannot complete inside a side panel. The panel picks the session up on its own.
  2. A TradingView account, because the extension reads the strategy from a TradingView chart and refuses to run without a signed-in TradingView session: <tradingview email> / <tradingview password>.
Steps to reproduce the core flow: 1. Open https://stratopti.com/login and sign in with the first account above. 2. Open https://www.tradingview.com/ and sign in with the TradingView account above. 3. Open https://www.tradingview.com/chart/, open the Indicators dialog, add a built-in Pine strategy (for example search "Supertrend Strategy"), and open the Strategy Tester panel at the bottom of the chart. 4. Click the Strategy Optimizer toolbar icon. The panel opens with the detected strategy, its inputs, the symbol and the timeframe. The Account section should read "Active". 5. Open Configure, tick one numeric input, give it a small range (for example 10 to 14, step 2), and press Run. Progress, pause and cancel appear in the panel. 6. Right-click the toolbar icon and choose "Open results explorer" to see the stored results. 7. Optional: in the explorer, open a result row and use the create-alert action to turn that configuration into a TradingView alert.

Notes:

  • Signed out, the panel still opens and still detects the strategy. Only running and creating alerts are blocked, each with an inline message saying why.
  • The free plan covers every step above. Paid plans only raise the limits and unlock CSV export, the combined multi-session view and the advanced result filters.
  • The extension binds one account to one TradingView account to prevent subscription sharing. If the Account section says the account is locked to another TradingView account, press "Reset binding to this account" there.
  • Optimization runs happen in the browser against the reviewer's own TradingView session. The only requests the extension makes off-device are to https://api.stratopti.com (account, plan, usage counter) and the Clerk sign-in origin.
