Stopaganda Plus Firefox

Stopaganda Plus

Applies informative decals to Google, Twitter, Facebook and select news subreddits (as well as the home page and r/all that reference those subreddits) showing bias and accuracy based on data compiled by mediabiasfactcheck.com.

Features & Capabilities

This extension (1) indicates a website's accuracy and bias when applicable with a small badge on the Stopaganda icon in the extensions bar (with more detail when clicked), and (2) adds text decorations to Google, DuckDuckGo, Twitter, Facebook, and Reddit's r/news, r/inthenews, r/worldnews, r/canada, r/unitedkingdom, r/europe, and r/politics subreddits (as well as r/all and the front page with posts originating in the above subreddits) with accuracy and bias metrics (based on Media Bias/Fact Check's publicly available data). These data can be found by clicking on an article or post's decals or directly at https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/. Note that bias classifications are relative to general U.S. politics.

User Reviews

I use Media Bias/Fact Check frequently and get rate limited sometimes, so it’s extra helpful to be able to see the ratings (and whether the website is listed at all) without searching directly. I would appreciate it even more if the extension could also be used on Kagi, if it’s not too complicated to implement.

Great idea! And would be nice to not just have it based on the US, since modelling politics elsewhere on US standards is not accurate again. I.e. would probably be nice to have something own for Europe.
