SteamScraper

SteamScraper adds a tag-honesty layer to the Steam store.

Steam tags are crowdsourced, and games often bury a tag deep in their list hoping to show up in searches they don't deserve. SteamScraper only counts a tag as a genuine match when it ranks near the top of a game's own tags, so you can tell at a glance what a game actually is.

On a game page it shows: • Where the game's tags actually rank, and which "heavyweight" tags are buried. • What the game really is, its distinctive, defining tags. • Games genuinely similar to it, by weighted tag overlap. • Tags that pair well with it.

On a Steam search or tag-browse page it: • Badges each result as a genuine top-tag match or a buried tag-spam rider. • Adds "really: <tags>" chips and a one-click "more like this". • Suggests companion tags to narrow your search.

Free and privacy-first: the extension stores nothing and collects no personal data. It sends only the id of the Steam game page you're viewing to look up its tag info.
