StaySavr++

StaySavr helps you to find the vacation rental host for making a booking directly instead of through an agent. With direct bookings you usually save more than 12% of the cost.

Hosts prefer direct contact too because you are more likely to have some conversation with them before the booking is made.

The StaySavr browser extension works on sites like homeaway and vrbo. It doesn't have data for all rentals, but when it does, it's great for guests who don't want to have to pay booking fees!

How it works The StaySavr extension recognises property pages from relevant rentals sites (e.g. vrbo.com) and some hotel sites. After the page has loaded, StaySavr makes a request to the StaySavr database for information about that particular listing. If we have data available, it is displayed in a small box on the page. The information may contain the name of the company or individual managing the listing, the phone number and for some entries, the email address for reservations and the manager's own website link.

The StaySavr database requests are analyzed and protected to prevent mass extraction of data.

The data sources include individual verified contributions, data gathered from archived web pages and current public data sources.
