2026-07-15 Th***** Such an essential and awesome extension! This is what I install immediately after uBlock Origin, whenever I set up a new profile or installation. The functionality is actually very simple, yet it's vital in these sad times, when browser developers spend all their effort on the browser itself, while woefully neglecting the little piece of the application that helps us organize our carefully cataloged bookmark collection. Sprucemarks is an efficient, robust, easy-to-use, configurable and stable bookmark manager. I'm happy to share my opinion that this feisty little add-on should be included in the "vanilla" Firefox (or Chrome, or Opera—it's available for every major ecosystem!—core product itself. The need for such a beautifully-designed, frequently updated extension is evident in the number of alternatives displayed in a add-on query involving the string "bookmark". Indeed, most add-on Websites include an entire category of extensions for this very purpose. There was a time when Firefox (and "Netscape Navigator" before it) boasted an innovative, powerful bookmark management system, so customizable that bookmarks could even be given their own description string, in addition to the tags, keyword and other properties afforded us now. Alas, like many other beautiful features of the Firefox UI/UX, the bookmark manager has become stagnant, lost imperative features and taken the backseat given to patronizingly dismissed Web browsing subsystems. Yet this one, small extension, an unsung hero of the utmost quality and software craftsmanship, helps to immensely aid us in the pursuit of our obsessively curated collection of bookmarks. Thank you, Kai Knightmode. You should absolutely be knighted for your valiant efforts. <3

2025-06-01 ni***** Recently switched to FF and have used Sprucemarks in Chrome for, however long Kai has had it out there. There was even one point where I paid for it, I think, like quite a few years ago. Hey Kai, if you catch this, is there a delay when the sorting happens after adding a new bookmark? I thought that was a setting a long time ago, trying to catch when it happens in FF. Cheers!
