Pros
- Effectively blocks spoilers by filtering specified keywords and related content, including images and entire sections.
- Works well on popular platforms such as Twitter and Reddit for spoiler protection.
- Provides good customization options and clear markings for blocked content.
- Helpful for avoiding spoilers of new releases and specific shows.
- Allows whitelisting of certain websites to improve performance on heavy sites like YouTube.
Cons
- Causes significant performance issues such as browser slowdowns, freezes, and high CPU or memory usage.
- Memory leakage reported, with extremely high resource consumption in some cases.
- Does not effectively block spoilers on YouTube thumbnails and causes YouTube to become unresponsive or slow.
- Settings interface is often blank or difficult to use, with missing descriptions and retention issues making configuration challenging.
- Appears outdated and unoptimized, with reported bugs and poor support for dynamic or heavy websites leading to instability.

Every other updated the extension breaks and basically doesn't work: Not saving new words added, not hiding spoilers anymore, and you have to try to bug-fix on the spot and hope something works
Withelisting websites it's a 50/50 too, sometimes it works with just the domain other times even if you add the entire address it doesn't work...
When it works it's amazing 5/5, when it doesn't it's useless 0/5
Please fix this could-be-great extension

This extension works well - when it lets you add more key words.
When I try to add new ones for the extension to censor and then close the extension pop-up, the new progress gets erased. I thus need to repeat the process over and over and over again, without knowing if anything I am doing actually works. Not even pressing the big green + button on either side works!
Please fix whatever is messing with the save system.

Is Spoiler Protection 2.0 Safe?
Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.
Spoiler Protection 2.0 requires some sensitive permissions that could impact your browser and data security. Exercise caution before installing.

Risk likelihood
Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.
Spoiler Protection 2.0 is probably trust-worthy. Prefer other publishers if available. Exercise caution when installing this add-on.
