Review summary

Spaceship is a well-liked dark theme for Firefox, praised for its attractive design and useful red highlight around the active tab. It integrates smoothly with other tools and offers a unique spaceship aesthetic. However, it lacks extensive customization options or dynamic controls, and some users note it doesn't fully color all browser interface elements, which limits its visual impact compared to other themes.
Pros
  • Attractive dark theme that is visually appealing.
  • Red frame line around the active tab helps in easy tab identification.
  • Good compatibility with other Firefox tools and add-ons.
  • Provides a unique and enjoyable visual experience with a spaceship design.
Cons
  • Lacks advanced customization or control features within the theme settings.
  • Does not color all parts of the browser interface as some other themes do, limiting visual enhancement.
  • Some users expect more interactive or dynamic features that the theme does not provide.

2025-09-16 Tr***** Needed a theme that is dark, but not TOO dark. This is the perfect color tone.

2024-12-01 Fi***** ♥: Thank you, dear Kosmo, well done, the spaceship design has nice look & feel, it gives an individual welcome to the user with a easy useability not any loady disturbance, and the important red frame line around every active tab is very helpfull. It has the ability to work excellent with other tools. Therefore I spend good ♦♦♦♦ 4Stars with ♥, perhaps I hope, your next idea surprises me with your great creativity.

2024-11-05 Jo***** Long time user of Firefox (since its release in 2004) but just recently started looking into the use of themes even just for the fun it can add to a day. For whatever reason I am drawn to DARK settings recently across everything from my os (mac and win) to browser(s) (FireFox, Edge, Chrome) to app settings which allow me to change appearance. The Dark just seems to feel better for some reason. Which lead me to finding this them as I installed probably 20+ different ones I found just searching the themes section for the Mozilla addons site for the keywork dark and noticed the very first listing under "Recommended themes" was Spaceship with its 5,691 users so I checked it out and upon install the first thing I noticed was the tagline "This theme brings the thrill of piloting a spaceship to your Firefox browser" which of course immediately awoke and brought to attention my inner 6 year old Calvin who of course started feverishly and repeatedly clicking through the sparse hamburger menu and gearbox icon options within the themes settings desperately looking for that one sure to be hidden radio button which would fire-up the turbo rockets and finally launch the settings menu to be able to control the fucking Spaceship......alas even after multiple rounds of disabling, removing then reinstalling and enabling and looking behind the couch of the 38th time for that damn radio button I finally gave up. It was all a lie, there is no Spaceship I can pilot transporting me to the final frontier. The only reason I am leaving this review is to hopefully save countless others the 20+ hours I spent looking for the hidden radio button. IF for any reason I might have missed it and someone can point me in the right direction PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post a review hear and help the rest of us out...OK?? And I am giving the Theme a 4 out of 5 starts based on the simple fact it is Dark and I DO LIKE DARK and one other little thing is that somewhere in my time spent on Google doing research on the theme and this Kosmo fellow who designed it thinking maybe there was an Easter Egg in the themes settings I was missing and maybe I could find someone else posting about it online somewhere I came across a recent news article about this years release of the Firefox based browser called Zen (zen-browser.app) and a little birdie told me they might have an actual Spaceship built in.....
