slur be gone Firefox

slur be gone

By: JJV
Uses a simple script to replace common trans slurs with the appropriate terms.

Features & Capabilities

Gets rid of all those nasty little slurs that pop up online for LGBTQ+ people. Focuses primarily on slurs for trans women, and includes common misspellings. Can't fix specific transphobic phrases or certain slurs (TS, tr*p) that can't be replaced without breaking normal sentences unfortunately. Email slurbegone.contact@gmail.com for special cases you think I should include. Available on desktop and android, as well as Google Chrome! (Though it takes forever to approve new versions....)

User Reviews

Works well enough for what it is, but has a few too many false positives. Recently, when publishing a chapter of a web novel, it automatically changed the text "She managed to survive" to "trans womanaged to survive", which was a bit embarrassing to find out about three weeks after I posted the chapter.

only works about 50% of the time, not customizable.
