Features & Capabilities

Priority Plate: The Minimalist Eisenhower Matrix Stop just being busy. Start being productive.

We’ve all said it: "I have too much on my plate." Most task managers just give you a long, intimidating list that grows faster than you can check items off. Priority Plate changes the way you look at your day by forcing you to categorize tasks not just by when they need to be done, but by how much they actually matter.

Based on the world-renowned 4-Quadrant System (the Eisenhower Matrix) popularized by Stephen Covey's book "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People", this extension helps you filter the noise and focus on high-impact goals.

The "Plate" Philosophy At the heart of the extension is a central hub: Your Plate. This is your mental scratchpad. Whenever a new task pops into your head, drop it onto the Plate. From there, you make the executive decision: where does it actually belong?

Master Your Four Quadrants DO FIRST (Urgent & Important): These are your "fires." The assignments due tomorrow, the critical bugs, and the high-stakes deadlines.

SCHEDULE (Important, Not Urgent): This is the "Growth Zone." These are the tasks that actually move the needle—like internship prep, learning a new framework, or hit the gym. If it's on your schedule, it’s a priority for your future self.

DELEGATE (Urgent, Not Important): These are the interruptions. Tasks that feel pressing but don't contribute to your long-term goals. Identify them so you can minimize the time spent on them.

ELIMINATE (Neither): The clutter. If it doesn't help you grow and it isn't urgent, why is it on your list? Seeing it in this quadrant makes it easier to let go.

Why You’ll Love Priority Plate: Minimalist Design: No bloat. No complex nested folders. Just a clean, light/dark-themed interface designed to get you in and out in seconds.

The Circular Hub: A unique visual metaphor for your "mental load." Use the center Plate to capture ideas before they vanish.

Privacy-First: We don't want your data. All your tasks are stored locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, and no one sees your goals but you.

Keyboard Friendly: Designed for speed, allowing you to quickly add and clear tasks so you can get back to work.

Built for Students & Pros: Whether you're balancing Engineering assignments, prepping for interviews, or managing a freelance project, this tool scales with your stress levels.

How to Use It: Capture: Click the icon and type your task into the central "Plate" and press Enter.

Categorize: Move your task into the appropriate quadrant based on its urgency and importance by clicking and dragging.

Execute: Focus on the "Do First" quadrant, and make sure you're making time for the "Schedule" quadrant every single day.

Clear: Use the 'X' to remove tasks as you finish them and watch your plate clear up.

Stop scrolling. Start prioritizing. Get it on your Plate today.
