Sidebox Firefox

Sidebox

Create instant email inboxes for signing up to things

Features & Capabilities

Create additional accounts, protect your privacy and keep spam out your inbox with Sidebox!

When signing up to something, open the extension and generate a random email address that you can use to hide your identity. Messages sent to that address will be stored inside the box, which you can access at any time.

Unlike temporary email services, you won't get locked out of services you use the address for, since the box is saved in your account. You can delete a box at any time if spam is being sent to it, while leaving all your other boxes unaffected.

Is Sidebox Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Sidebox requires very minimum permissions.
