SheetBookmark Firefox

SheetBookmark

By: Rishish Add-on
Save bookmarks from every browser into one Google Sheet in your own Drive — a tab per browser, searchable everywhere.

Features & Capabilities

Sync your bookmarks from Chrome, Firefox and Edge into one Google Sheet in your own Drive. Bookmark normally — Ctrl+D or one click — and the page appears in your spreadsheet within seconds, in a separate tab per browser. No server. No account. No tracking.

Browser sync only syncs a browser with itself. SheetBookmark syncs your bookmarking — across browsers, machines and profiles — into a file you own, can open anywhere, sort, filter, and keep forever.

WHAT IT DOES

• One Google Sheet, a tab per browser — Chrome, Firefox and Edge each write to their own tab; nothing ever overlaps. Rename the sheet or its tabs freely — sync follows the file, not the name.

• Your cadence — instant by default, or batch every 15 minutes / hour / 8 hours / day, or manual-only with a pending-count badge on the icon.

• Search everything, everywhere — the popup shows all your browsers' bookmarks together; one click opens any of them.

• Notes on every bookmark — the save popup pre-fills a note from the text you highlighted on the page; edit it before saving, or add a note to any row later with its ✎ button, from any browser.

• Two-way — pull what your other browsers saved into this one; additive only, nothing is ever deleted.

• Feather-light — no content scripts, no background polling, zero idle wakeups; it does nothing at all until you bookmark something.

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS

Firefox notes that this extension "collects bookmarks and website content." Here is exactly where that data goes: into a Google Sheet in YOUR OWN Google Drive — and nowhere else. There is no developer server, no analytics, no telemetry.

• Uses only Google's narrow drive.file permission — the extension can access the one spreadsheet it creates and nothing else in your Drive, enforced by Google itself.

• Your sign-in token lives in session memory only, never written to disk.

• The sheet is the source of truth — deleting a row simply makes that page saveable again.

GETTING STARTED

  1. Install, click "Connect Google Sheets", approve — one consent screen.
  2. The extension creates "My SheetBookmark Collection" in your Drive — or finds the one your other browser already made — and imports your existing bookmarks.
  3. Bookmark as you always did.

A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.
