Sequential Tab Refresher Firefox

Sequential Tab Refresher

Automatically reloads non-active, visible tabs in Firefox with a sequential approach, when visiting an unloaded tab.

Features & Capabilities

Sequential Tab Refresher is a Firefox extension that improves browsing efficiency by automatically refreshing tabs that are not currently in focus. It skips hidden tabs to save resources and only activates when switching to an unloaded tab, ensuring that the latest content is always available without manual reloads.

I made this small script for better experience with another great extension, Simple Tab Groups. So the main point of this extension is loading entire tab groups when switching between them. Of course, this can be used without it.

Features:

  1. Sequential Tab Refresh: Reloads non-active tabs one by one, with a 0.1 second interval.
  2. Visibility Check: Only reloads tabs that are visible, ignoring minimized or background tabs.
  3. Triggered by Unloaded Tab: Activates only when you switch to a tab that hasn't fully loaded.
