Qual é a verdadeira funcionalidade? O objetivo desta extensão é permitir a comunicação segura entre o navegador e o token/smartcard (Certificado Digital A3 - padrão ICP-Brasil) conectado fisicamente à máquina do usuário. Ela permite que nossos clientes realizem a assinatura digital de documentos diretamente pelo nosso sistema web.

Como funciona? Ao clicar no botão de 'Assinar' dentro da plataforma web do Sistema SEI, a extensão atua como uma ponte (via Native Messaging), solicitando o PIN do certificado A3 do usuário para assinar o pacote XML localmente e devolvê-lo assinado para o sistema web.

Atenção: Esta extensão não possui interface gráfica própria de navegação e só funciona quando acionada dentro do domínio do nosso sistema web autenticado."
