SamWest Leasing helps small and medium-sized companies optimize their car leasing – brand-independent and with personal service. Car benefit calculation – directly on your mobile phone

In the “Car benefit calculation” tab, you can generate an indicative benefit value yourself based on current rules for 2025. You enter:

New car price

Price for additional equipment

Vehicle tax per year

Drivetrain (none, electric car/hydrogen or plug-in hybrid)

The app automatically takes into account environmental reduction for electric car/hydrogen and plug-in hybrid (up to the applicable maximum amount and percentage of the new car price) and shows:

Car price including additional equipment

Utilized environmental reduction

Adjusted price after reduction

Calculated benefit value per year and approximately per month

The calculation is an indicative value that helps you and your company understand the cost picture before you make a decision. The final benefit value is always set by the employer and the Swedish Tax Agency.

Time to change car – age, mileage and recommendation

In the “Time to change car” tab, the app makes an initial indicative assessment of when it might be financially wise to change car. You fill in:

Year and month when the car was put into service

Odometer reading (km)

Registration number

Mobile number

The app will then automatically calculate:

Age of the car in months

Average mileage per month

A text-based recommendation about changing car

Examples of recommendations that may be displayed:

“The car is still very new and your mileage is low in relation to its age. It is usually too early to change car at this point.”

“You are in a situation where in some cases it may be possible to change car on good terms. It may be worth following developments a little extra.”

“The car is now at an age and use where it is often wise to consider changing car. A review of alternatives can reduce future depreciation.”

"It's high time to order a new car. The combination of age and mileage suggests that a trade-in may now be financially beneficial."

"The car has reached a level where the variation in value can be large. We recommend a manual valuation to get a more accurate assessment."

You can submit the information to SamWest directly in the same view, and we will manually put the trade-in price out to competition to give your company the best possible terms.
