Scrollkey Firefox

Scrollkey

Scroll pages in VIM style, using j and k shortcuts.

Features & Capabilities

Scrollkey is a Chrome extension that lets you navigate web pages just like in VIM editor, using the j and k keys to scroll vertically and horizontally. You can customize scroll amounts for normal keys as well as alternative shortcuts like shift+j/k and alt+j/k, ensuring compatibility with websites that already use j and k for other functions.

Additional features include customizable PageUp and PageDown scroll amounts and the ability to switch scrolling directions from vertical to horizontal per shortcut. Scrollkey enhances browsing efficiency and comfort, especially for users who prefer keyboard navigation. Note that due to technical constraints, Scrollkey doesn't function on certain browser and error pages.

User Reviews

Last update caused av pag and re pag to not work anymore same with horizontal scrolling. Only J and K work and alt + j/k shift + j/K doesnt work either. (yes I know you changed the preferences and yes I edited them there and press the button to save it and checked that they did save and also tested it on a new clean profile). BTW the spanish translation is pretty bad. Idk if it's automatic or what but if you want I can do the translation to spanish.

Is Scrollkey Safe?

A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Scrollkey requires some sensitive permissions that could impact your browser and data security. Exercise caution before installing.
