Dark Overlay: It usually works by placing a semi-transparent dark layer over the webpages you are viewing within Browser. It doesn't typically control your monitor's actual backlight.
Adjustable Dimness: You can almost always adjust the level of dimness or the opacity of the dark overlay, allowing you to fine-tune the brightness to your comfort level.
