User Reviews

Users find 'Save to Trello' highly useful for integrating Trello into their browsing workflow, enabling easy saving of tabs or notes as Trello cards. However, it struggles with compatibility on current Firefox versions and Android, and has minor usability issues like the pop-up window not closing automatically and poor documentation. Suggestions include adding features like card positioning in lists and tag selection. Overall, it is a valued tool needing maintenance and some enhancements.
Pros
  • Integrates well with Trello, enhancing daily workflow and productivity.
  • Allows saving current tabs or custom text directly to Trello cards.
  • Simple and effective functionality appreciated by users.
  • Useful for managing content to be posted on social media or organizing tasks.
  • Provides convenience by adding cards directly from the address bar.
Cons
  • Does not work properly on current versions of Firefox or on Android devices for some users.
  • Pop-up window does not close automatically after adding a card, which some users find inconvenient.
  • Issues with extension opening as a second tab rather than a pop-up in some environments (e.g., when using containers).
  • Documentation inaccuracies about retrieving board IDs (idBoard vs. id) can confuse users.
  • Lacks features such as choosing card position (top or bottom of list) and selecting tags or labels during card creation.

I just want to respond to Mossop's review. I had a similar experience where I did not think that the extension was working. However, if you look at the screenshot provided by the dev, you'll see that there is a Trello icon that is added in the address bar. Clicking that will allow you to save to your Trello board. Documentation could be improved for this extension - at least write something out in the About section. Eventually, I was able to find the idBoard field, but had to expand all json fields to find it. Setup could be a bit more smooth.

Doesn't appear to work at all in current versions of Firefox. Extension is always listed as "Can't read or change data on this site"
