Save to Field Firefox

Save to Field

Save images, text and links from any webpage to your Field gallery. Right-click to save; connects to getfield.net or your own self-hosted Field server.

Features & Capabilities

Save to Field lets you collect images, text and links from anywhere on the web straight into your Field account.

How it works

  • Right-click any image and choose "Add to Field" — works with normal images and CSS background images on sites like Instagram and Twitter/X
  • Select text on a page, right-click, and save it with the source URL attached
  • Click the toolbar icon any time to see your connection status
  • The source page URL is saved automatically with everything you add
  • Tag as you go: type [[like this]] to add inline tags, with autocomplete from your existing tags

Getting started Install, click the icon, and sign in with your Field email and password — the extension connects to https://getfield.net by default. Running your own Field instance? Click "Use a different server" and enter your URL.

Privacy The extension only talks to the Field server you sign in to. Your login and the content you save are never sent to any third party, and there's no tracking or analytics. Your session is stored locally in the browser and cleared when you sign out or uninstall.

Is Save to Field Safe?

Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Save to Field requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
