SanShorts Firefox

SanShorts

Prevents shorts from appearing in video feed grids on YouTube, including subscriptions and recommended pages.

Features & Capabilities

YouTube shorts are inherently designed for mobile viewing and thus are undesirable on the desktop platform. However, by default the shorts are mixed into video feeds across the platform with no clear way to opt out or permanently hide them, unnecessarily clogging up grids and distracting from the actual content. To prevent this, SanShorts looks for any video tiles that are marked with the shorts icon and hides them from view. The extension doesn't aim to modify shorts playback or alter their functionality in any way, it just makes it easier to ignore them.
