Samarth - Ministry of Textiles

The Samarth mobile application is designed for stakeholders involved in the Ministry of Textiles’ comprehensive skill development scheme. It supports the implementation of the Scheme for Capacity Building in the Textiles sector, excluding Spinning and Weaving, spanning from 2017-18 to 2023-24. The app facilitates targeted skill training for marginalized groups including women, SC/ST, differently-abled, and communities in remote and aspirational districts across India.

By providing National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) aligned programs, Samarth promotes demand-driven, placement-focused textile sector skills, with an emphasis on handlooms, handicrafts, sericulture, and jute. It also integrates real-time monitoring through geo-tagging, photo and biometric verification, and a centralized Management Information System (MIS) with Aadhar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS). This enhances transparency, accountability, and effective program delivery across the country.
