Especially if you are a teenager or young man and want to make a choice on your own, and not based on adult advice or advertising from bloggers.
Our application contains more than 400 books by the best authors of Russia and the world, and you can choose a book only by yourself by passing a special psychological test route, which determines what issues are currently a priority for the reader and what literary landscape and genre is most suitable for him. To choose a book, the user needs to choose his hero, the life situation in which he finds himself, the problems he will face, and even the version of the ending he should arrive at. Each answer will be absolutely individual and suitable exactly for the person who passed the test!
The result of the route test is a recommendation of the three excellent books most suitable to the reader’s request. Each of the recommendations has a detailed summary and a quote from the book that fully answers the user’s request. And, we promise you, this is always a fascinating and intriguing quote, after which you want to read the whole book!
All dropped books can be saved to the future reading list, and from the application you can go to the paper and e-book store. You can take the test as many times as you like, depending on your mood and questions that concern the reader.
The test was developed by professional psychologists with the participation of experts in the field of teenage and young-adult literature, it contains more than 100 routes and query options that always lead to a different and most relevant result, a chance that the user will get the same books for different queries and situations - minimal. Moreover, the collection of books in the application will be constantly updated and expanded.
More than 500 teenagers took the test before the app was launched.
The developer of the application, the Living Classics Foundation, has been involved in supporting reading for 10 years and works in all regions of the country, as well as in 80 countries around the world with reading teenagers. Every year, about a million children and adolescents participate in the foundation's programs. And the problems that teenagers face when choosing books, their reading requirements are well known to the foundation’s specialists, and this is where the idea for the project came from.
In our application, all books and quotes from them are selected and checked manually by psychologists and experts in the field of teenage literature. This is a space for calm and confident book selection for teenagers and adults who are interested in high-quality teenage literature. Such a space will help increase confidence and interest in reading, and will also help in the work of librarians, teachers and everyone for whom it is important to support the Russian language abroad.
