Unlike built-in dictation, the bee doesn't take shorthand — it turns speech into writing. We all say "um", "you know" and "like", trip over words and restart a sentence halfway through. WHY THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE IS NEEDED

BuzzAI uses the Android accessibility service — without it, dictating inside another app is impossible: the system gives third-party apps no other way to tell that the cursor is in a text field and to insert text there.

The permission is used for exactly three things: detecting that you tapped into an editable field, so the bee appears right there; inserting the recognised text into that field without replacing your keyboard; and hiding the bee when the keyboard closes.

What is on your screen and what you type by hand, we do not read, collect, store or send anywhere. The only thing that leaves your phone is audio you recorded yourself by pressing the button.
