User Reviews

Users praise the add-on for quietly blocking fbclid, running in the background, and working on Android Firefox. It’s viewed as simple and reliable, with openness to contributions. The main recurring drawbacks are the desire to expand parameter removal beyond fbclid and the need to improve copy-link behavior to output the final cleaned URL.
Pros
  • Effectively blocks the fbclid parameter from end sites, enhancing privacy when clicking links.
  • Runs in the background automatically, keeping protection active without manual intervention.
  • Works on Android Firefox as well, showing cross‑platform support.
  • Simple, reliable tool that does what it’s meant to do and is easy to trust.
  • Open to community contributions (GitHub availability) for improvements.
Cons
  • Users want support for removing many more tracking parameters beyond fbclid (e.g., si, referrer, ref, r, xtor, utm_*, utm_referrer, ysclid, guccounter), a recurring request across multiple reviews.
  • Copy/link actions (right-click Copy link location or Facebook redirects) are not yet updated to provide the final cleaned URL, so the fbclid can still appear in copied/sharing URLs.
