Reddit Raw Image Opener Firefox

Reddit Raw Image Opener

By: NAPA Add-on
Opens Reddit-hosted image links directly instead of Reddit's /media image viewer page.

Features & Capabilities

There are security concerns with the other reddit image opener extension. I wanted one that didn't sell my data or input ads.

Reddit Raw Image Opener makes Reddit-hosted image links open directly as images instead of loading Reddit’s /media image viewer page.

It handles common Reddit image URLs, including:

When possible, it redirects preview.redd.it image links to the direct i.redd.it image URL and changes the request Accept header so Firefox receives the image file instead of Reddit’s HTML viewer wrapper.

The extension is intentionally small and simple. It has no analytics, no tracking, no remote code, no accounts, no bundled dependencies, and no external service.
