Offline AI Detector Firefox

Offline AI Detector

By: Arthur
Finds AI-generated paragraphs and highlights them. Checks vocabulary, rhythm, structure. 100% offline, zero tracking

Features & Capabilities

Highlights text that looks like it was written by ChatGPT, Claude or similar tools

How it works:

  • Scans the page for text
  • Checks each one against patterns common in AI writing: overused words, uniform sentence length, hedge phrases, formal structure
  • Highlights suspicious blocks with a color based on probability
  • Hover the cursor to see the score and which patterns triggered

Four detection methods:

  1. Vocabulary - words AI loves ("comprehensive", "delve", "facilitate")
  2. Phrases - common AI constructions ("it's worth noting", "in order to")
  3. Statistical - sentence rhythm, paragraph uniformity, punctuation patterns
  4. Structure - numbered lists, transition words, formulaic conclusions

Everything runs in your browser. No servers, no API calls, no data collection. Works offline

Settings let you adjust sensitivity or switch between Precise/Balanced/Aggressive modes

Keyboard shortcut: Alt+Shift+A to toggle on/off
