RamRatio Firefox

RamRatio

Lightweight Firefox memory optimizer with adaptive tab suspension, Older PC Mode, coexistence safeguards, and clear optimization feedback.

Features & Capabilities

RamRatio is a lightweight Firefox tab memory optimizer designed to reduce resource usage when many tabs are open. It automatically suspends inactive tabs using Firefox's native tab discard system, helping free memory and reduce unnecessary background activity while keeping your tabs available for later.

RamRatio is designed to work well on both modern and older computers. Older PC Mode reduces the extension's own background activity and limits how many tabs are processed at once to avoid sudden CPU usage.

Features include automatic inactive-tab suspension, adjustable idle time, protected pinned and audio tabs, website exclusions, Older PC Mode, coexistence safeguards for use alongside other tab-management tools, manual optimization, optimization notifications, and a dashboard showing sleeping and optimized tabs.

RamRatio does not inject overlays into websites, modify page content, or claim tabs that were already suspended by Firefox or another optimizer. It does not collect, sell, or transmit browsing data. Settings and optimization statistics remain stored locally in Firefox.

Is RamRatio Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

RamRatio requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
