QuietBreak Firefox

QuietBreak

Automatically mutes enabled Twitch tabs during advertisements and restores the previous sound state when the ad ends.

Features & Capabilities

QuietBreak protects Twitch viewers from sudden, excessively loud advertisements without changing their preferred streamer volume.

Enable QuietBreak independently for any Twitch tab. When Twitch displays an advertisement marker, the extension immediately mutes the media element and applies a tab-level mute as a safety measure. When the advertisement ends, QuietBreak restores the previous media and tab mute states.

Features:

• Per-tab activation • Immediate advertisement muting • Automatic sound restoration • Support for multi-ad commercial breaks • No accounts, analytics, tracking, advertising, or external connections • Stores only enabled tab IDs locally

QuietBreak detects advertisements through indicators in Twitch’s player interface. Twitch is a trademark of Twitch Interactive, Inc. QuietBreak is an independent extension and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Twitch.

A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

QuietBreak requires some sensitive permissions that could impact your browser and data security. Exercise caution before installing.
