Quick Focus Firefox

Quick Focus

By: open88
Dim distracting pages on click so you can focus, with a simple slider to set your preferred level.

Features & Capabilities

Quick Focus helps you tune out visual noise on any webpage. Open the popup, choose a dim level, and toggle focus on the current tab. It runs only when you ask it to, and remembers your preferred level for future use. There is no tracking, no remote scripts, and no hidden behavior. The options page lets you set a default dim level so the popup always starts where you like it. The add-on requests the bare minimum: activeTab to operate on the tab you’re interacting with, and storage to save your preferred dim level. When you press Toggle, a small content script applies or removes a translucent overlay without altering the page content underneath. Everything is self-contained and avoids inline scripts to align with AMO policies.

Is Quick Focus Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Quick Focus does not require any sensitive permissions.

Risk impact analysis details
Risk likelihood
Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.

Quick Focus may not be trust-worthy. Avoid installing if possible unless you really trust this publisher.
