LAYZER

Over 15 years ago, the adventure known as Laser Radio began when Ad Bouman, Erwin Ketteman, and Hans Klaassen came together and decided to empower a new generation of radio producers. The origins of today's LAYZER stemmed from Dutch offshore radio stations that were gradually struggling due to new laws and regulations concerning "pirate radio." The initiative to stimulate this new generation of radio producers came from Ad Bouman, who brought Hans and Erwin together in 2003.

At the time, Laser Radio was incredibly innovative, being one of the very first radio stations to target the new internet generation. Today, Laser Radio can undoubtedly be looked back on as a company that was constantly pioneering and at the forefront of innovation.

After more than fifteen years, the LAYZER of today focuses on innovation and serving the millennial target audience with the same passion. While the original format primarily focused on hits and rock, the focus shifted to pop, house, and R&B after Laser Radio's rebranding to the revamped LAYZER in 2014, with a full-fledged focus on finding the latest and greatest tracks under the banner of Tomorrow's Tunes.

The current format was conceived and repeatedly fine-tuned to ensure listeners always have a refreshing mix of hits and Tomorrow's Tunes. The station utilizes state-of-the-art resources to provide listeners with the best possible service.

The LAYZER of the future is a station that, with a proactive team and a large network of partners, can provide listeners with an even more personalized experience. This is achieved through personalized content, advertisements, and increased listener input on the music played. While LAYZER initially started as a kind of tryout to see what was possible with limited resources and passion, it's now getting a bit out of hand! We have a fantastic team with whom we are passionately working on the future of radio.
