Privacy-First & Local By Default Your data belongs to you. By default, Promptrix collects absolutely zero telemetry and transmits no personal data. All of your captured prompts, tags, and AI interactions are saved entirely locally within your browser's private storage. There are no central servers, no forced accounts, and no hidden tracking.

Bring-Your-Own (BYO) Cloud Sync If you want to sync your data across devices or build your own prompt database, Promptrix provides robust, 100% opt-in solutions that give you complete control over your data:

• Cloudflare Workers API: Configure your own custom Cloudflare endpoint and token to push your captures to a personal database.
• GitHub Gist Backup: Sync your prompt history directly to a private GitHub Gist using your own Personal Access Token.
• Custom Webhooks: Stream your interactions in real-time to any SIEM or enterprise webhook endpoint of your choosing.

Testing Instructions:

1. This extension operates locally by default. No account or server is required to test the core features.
2. Navigate to an AI tool like chatgpt.com or claude.ai and type a prompt.
3. The extension's content scripts will capture the prompt and save it to the local browser storage.
4. Click the extension icon in the toolbar to view the captured data in the popup, or click the Dashboard button to see the full UI.
5. Data Privacy Note: The extension features options to push data to Cloudflare Workers, Github Gists, or Custom Webhooks. These are strictly opt-in, Bring-Your-Own-Endpoint features. They are disabled by default. You do not need to configure them to verify the extension's core functionality.
