Kids memory game: flip cards, find matching pairs. No ads, no timer, offline.
Match Mates is a gentle memory game for kids, and a quiet one for the grown-up who ends up playing too. Flip a card, flip another, and when the two pictures match they stay face up. Clear the board to win. There is no timer and no way to lose, which makes it a calm first card matching game for toddlers and preschoolers, and a real memory match challenge on the bigger boards.
HOW TO PLAY
- Tap a card to turn it over and see the picture
- Tap a second card and try to remember where its twin was
- A matching pair stays face up, a miss simply flips back
- Find every matching pair to clear the board and win the round
TEN PICTURE DECKS
Animals, fruit, vehicles, sea life, dinosaurs, space, food, sports, weather and shapes. Each deck is a bright, instantly readable set of pictures, so a child who has had enough of matching animals can go and match rockets, dolphins or fire engines instead.
FIVE BOARD SIZES THAT GROW WITH YOUR CHILD
- 2x2, two pairs: small enough for a two year old's first matching game
- 2x3, three pairs
- 3x4, six pairs
- 4x4, eight pairs
- 4x5, ten pairs: a proper memory game for older kids and for adults
Deck and board size are chosen separately, so the same picture set works for a toddler and for a seven year old.
EVERY PAIR SAYS ITS NAME OUT LOUD
Find a matching pair and the picture speaks its English name, so a round of memory match doubles as gentle listening and vocabulary practice. Switch it off in settings any time you need a silent game in the back of the car.
MADE FOR PARENTS TO TRUST
- No ads of any kind. No banners, no video ads, no cross-promotion, no ad SDK in the app at all
- No data collected and no tracking. Our Play Data safety answer is "No data collected"
- No accounts, no sign-in, no chat and no social features
- Plays fully offline, which makes it a good car, plane and waiting-room game
- One-tap play that small hands can manage without a grown-up
NO TIMER, NO LIVES, NO LOSING
Nothing counts down and nothing runs out. A wrong pick just turns the two cards back over, so a child who is still working it out can take as long as they like. For children who do want something to beat, a move counter and a fewest-moves best score are kept quietly for each board.
WHERE IT GETS PLAYED
- A short matching game while dinner is cooking
- A car, plane or waiting-room game that needs no signal and no download mid-trip
- A quiet wind-down round before bed, with the sound switched off
- A turn-taking card game between a preschooler and a parent or an older brother or sister
- A first game for a toddler who is not ready for anything with a timer in it
WHICH AGES IT SUITS
The 2x2 and 2x3 boards suit around ages 2 to 4, the 3x4 and 4x4 boards suit roughly ages 4 to 7, and the 4x5 board keeps older children and adults honest. Preschool and kindergarten children can play on their own; younger toddlers enjoy it more with someone naming the pictures alongside them.
ONE-TIME UNLOCK FOR PARENTS
Match Mates is free and genuinely complete. Three full decks are yours forever, at every board size, with no daily limit and no energy meter. One single Unlock Everything purchase, a one-time buy with no subscription and no second purchase, opens the remaining seven decks for good. Every locked deck also includes a 2x2 round that is permanently free and replayable, so your child can try a deck before you decide to buy anything.
GOOD TO KNOW
- Progress and best scores stay on the device, nothing is uploaded anywhere
- Nothing inside the game links out to a website, a store or a social network
- Sound and haptics each switch off, and the spoken names can be silenced on their own
- The same memory game works on a phone and on a tablet, in portrait
