Privatiser Firefox

Privatiser

Anonymize sensitive data before pasting into AI chats. Redacts IPs, API keys, passwords, PII, and cloud identifiers. Auto-restores originals when you copy the AI response. 100% local — nothing leaves your browser.

Features & Capabilities

Privatiser automatically anonymizes sensitive content when you paste into AI chat sites like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Copilot.

HOW IT WORKS: • Paste into any supported AI chat — sensitive data is automatically replaced with consistent pseudonyms • The AI can still understand and help with your text because the structure is preserved • Copy the AI's response — original values are automatically restored to your clipboard

WHAT IT DETECTS: • Secrets: API keys (AWS, OpenAI, GitHub, Slack), JWTs, bearer tokens, PEM keys, connection strings, SSH keys • Network: IPv4 addresses, domain names, email addresses, MAC addresses, internal URLs • PII: Phone numbers (US/UK), credit cards (Luhn-validated), Social Security numbers, passport numbers, IBANs • Cloud: AWS account IDs, ARNs, S3 buckets, Azure subscription IDs, GCP project IDs • Identifiers: UUIDs

FEATURES: • Auto-anonymize on paste into AI chat sites • Auto-restore originals when copying AI responses • Right-click context menu for manual anonymize/deanonymize • Toggle pattern categories on/off (Secrets, Network, PII, AWS, Cloud, Identifiers) • Allowlist specific values to skip • Built-in anonymize/deanonymize tool in the popup • Mapping table to see what was replaced

PRIVACY: • 100% local processing — no data is sent anywhere • No analytics, no telemetry, no external requests • Mappings stay in your browser session only

SUPPORTED SITES: • ChatGPT (chat.openai.com, chatgpt.com) • Claude (claude.ai) • Gemini (gemini.google.com) • Copilot (copilot.microsoft.com)

Is Privatiser Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Privatiser requires a lot of sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
