User Reviews
Works great, several different redirect options for each site.
by Fi*****, 2025-11-14
Most of these redirects work great, but some don't work for me (404). Thankfully, the redirects I care about seem to work fine, except for:
1) IMDB. It always continues to the regular imdb site even with the redirect enabled/saved.
2) Translate Google: If the regular Google redirect is enabled at same time, then translate google page goes there (eg. searx). So I have to pick one or the other.
Please look into this, as this addon is great.
EDIT: I'm not sure of limitations but would it be possible to let the users define their own redirects?

Shocked that I didn't even know that these social media privacy frontends were so widespread. I consider myself privacy minded, but I never came across a list of these alternative sites. Now I have an addon that switches to them automagically!
Thanks Dev! Your youtube (now yewtu.be) vid was genuine and this addon is simple without extra unnecessary tracking permissions. Instant download from me!

Is Privacy Please Safe?
Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.
Privacy Please requires a lot of sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.

Risk likelihood
Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.
Privacy Please has earned a fairly good reputation and likely can be trusted.
