PriceHunter Comparison Tool

PriceHunter helps you compare product prices on Amazon and Walmart—the two largest U.S. general-merchandise stores—so you can see which offer is the better value.

How it works: • Enter a product name (for example, “wool socks” or “nutter butter cookies”). • PriceHunter searches Amazon and Walmart and shows a matching product from each store when available. • It estimates unit price from the product title (per ounce, pack size, etc.) and ranks results by value—not only by package price. • Open “View” to go to the listing on the retailer’s site. • Search history is saved only on your device so you can revisit recent comparisons.

Also includes an optional note from the developer about the book “The Gentle ADHD Home” on Amazon.

Notes for users and reviewers: • Results depend on public search pages and may vary by location or retailer availability. • If a store blocks automated access, PriceHunter shows “Anti-Bot Blocked” instead of inventing a price. • No PriceHunter account is required. History stays in Firefox local storage and is not uploaded to a PriceHunter server. • Network requests go only to Amazon and Walmart when you run a search (and to Amazon if you open the book link).

To test: open the popup, search for a common product, confirm two results (or a clear blocked state), unit prices, and that View opens the correct site.
