📝 Answers Read From The Video Most tools guess from the question alone. EdPuzzle Genie pulls the transcript first: Edpuzzle's own captions, the YouTube caption track, or — when a video has no captions at all — by transcribing the audio itself. Answers come from what was actually said in the video.

✍️ Written Answers, Typed Not Pasted Open-ended and reflection answers are drafted from the transcript, run through an AI humanizer, and checked back until they read naturally. They are then typed into the box character by character, never pasted in one go.

⌨️ Human Typing Controls Choose Relaxed, Natural, Quick or Instant typing. Add a pause before it starts writing. Let it make small mistakes and backspace over them as it goes, or leave the odd typo in on purpose — your call, off by default.

🔹 Q: Does it actually watch the video?

A: It reads the video's transcript, so the answers come from what was said rather than from a guess. Where no captions exist, it transcribes the audio itself.

🔹 Q: Can it do written and reflection questions?

A: Yes. Those are drafted from the transcript, run through an AI humanizer, and typed into the box character by character. Written answers are an Ultimate feature.

🔹 Q: Will it answer everything instantly?

A: No, and that is deliberate. Choice questions sit on screen for five seconds by default, and written answers are typed at a human pace with optional hesitations and corrections.

🔹 Q: What if a video has no transcript?

A: EdPuzzle Genie tells you. Written answers fall back on general knowledge in that case and will read more vaguely — it will not pretend the video was read.

🔹 Q: Do I have to keep the tab open?

A: The tab needs to stay open, but with background play switched on you can work in another tab while the video keeps running.
