Playlist Utils Firefox

Playlist Utils

Reorder YouTube playlists and keep the order you picked. Sort by date or views, or drag videos where you want them. Autoplay follows your order too.

Features & Capabilities

YouTube only lets you reorder playlists you own. This reorders them in your browser instead, so it works on anybody's playlist. Nothing is sent to YouTube and nobody else sees a difference.

An Order button appears next to YouTube's own playlist controls, on the playlist page and in the panel beside the player. It offers the author's original order, reverse, oldest or newest published first, and most or least viewed.

Every row also gets a grab handle, so you can drag videos wherever you want them. On a phone, drag the handle or press and hold a row. Whatever you choose is saved per playlist and comes back next time.

Autoplay follows your order as well, along with the next and previous buttons. There is a switch in the menu if you would rather leave that to YouTube.

Works on desktop Firefox and on Firefox for Android.

Is Playlist Utils Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Playlist Utils requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
